Super Fly - Lucha Libre AAA
One of the reasons I like Lucha Libre so much is because of the really cool costumes and masks.
Case in point, Super Fly.
Super Fly was born on February 24th, 1987 in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, and is the son of luchador El Seminarista.
His uncles are all luchadors, Murciélago I, Murciélago II, Murciélago III and Robinson.
He was trained by his father, Skayde and Psicosis, and made his lucha libre debut on May 1st, 2001.
Yes, he was just fourteen years old.
After wrestling for smaller promotions, Super Fly signed with Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) in 2005.
Along with Laredo Kid and Nemesis, he was one of the founding members of Real Fuerza Aérea (Royal Air Force), a group that consisted of young tecnicos (faces) that were high fliers.
After enjoying several years as a hero, Super Fly turned bad and changed not only his tactics, but his ring attire as well.
He left Real Fuerza Aérea and joined two other rudo (heel) groups La Milicia (The Militia) and La Sociedad (The Society, a merger of La Legión Extranjera, Los Perros del Mal, La Milicia and Los Maniacos).

Polvo de Estrellas - Lucha Libre AAA
If you thought Pimpinela Escarlata was wild last time, wait till you get a load of Polvo de Estrellas."Star Dust" reminds me a lot of Goldust.
Hmmm...
Anyway, Fidel (or Felipe) Alvarado is another Exotico who wrestles for the Mexican Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) wrestling promotion. And like Pimpinela Escarlata, Polvo de Estrellas is not one to be taken lightly.
He was trained by luchadors Braulio Mendoza, Arturo Padilla, Gran Hamada, Karloff Lagarde, Abundio Radilla, Sordo Flores and Yamato.
He made his wrestling debut in 1987 and has wrestled under many identities like Adrian, Siniestro, Faces I, La Llorona Loca, Coco Rosa and Amadeus.
Amadeus for one is really cool looking...
Polvo de Estrellas has held the UWA Light Heavyweight Championship and the Arena Toluca Tag Team Championship (with Faces II)Polvo de Estrellas - Lucha Libre AAA, posted to http://theluchadores.blogspot.com/ on January 10th, 2011

Pimpinela Escarlata - Lucha Libre AAA
Now for a luchador who is a bit different from the others I have profiled here in the past.Mario González Lozano was born on April 18th, 1969 in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.
He works as Pimpinela Escarlata, an Exotico for the Mexican Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) wrestling promotion.
Exoticos are ...well...different from the wrestlers we have here in the WWE or TNA, with the possible exception of the old Billy and Chuck tag team.
Exoticos are not new in Lucha Libre.
They have been around since the 1950s, with luchadores like Adorable Rubí, Sergio el Hermoso and Bello Greco, but Pimpinela Escarlata has helped give legitimacy to this style of luchador, having held the Pista Arena Revolucion Welterweight Title, the IWA Light Heavyweight Title, the National Light Heavyweight Title, the National Middleweight Title, and one half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles with Fabi Apache.
He was trained by Halcón Suriano and Héctor López, and made his debut in Lucha Libre on June 15th, 1988 in Matamoros, Coahuila.

Monster Clown - Lucha Libre AAA
Now this is part of what I like so much about lucha libre.
The blatant outrageousness they can pull off at times.
I mean how cool is going into the psyche of the fans and pulling out Coulrophobia (fear of clowns) as a gimmick?
Well Monster Clown does just that.
The man behind the mask started out wrestling in 1997 as Highlander.
Then he went on to the wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and became Aliens.
In 2007, AAA repackaged him as Zombie Clown and made him part of the new wrestling stable, Los Psycho Circus along with Psycho Clown and Killer Clown.
The stable was supposed to be inspired by the B-movie, Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
These guys went on a rampage taking on and defeating not only faces, but heels as well.
In August 2009, Zombie Clown was renamed "Monster Clown" and his partner Killer Clown was renamed "Murder Clown" due to some copyright issues over the original names.
I've looked and I cant figure out what the copyright issue was.

Wolf Rubinsky - Latvian Luchador

Wolf Rubinsky (also known as Wolf Ruvinskis) was born on October 30th, 1921 in Riga, Latvia, a pretty good distance from Mexico. Wolf was an actor and luchador. He was married to Beatriz Perez, the dancer Armida Herrera and to actress Lilia Michel.
Born to Jewish parents, they relocated to Argentina during World War II.
In spite of living in extreme poverty he excelled in sports and as a professional wrestler he toured South America, the United States and Mexico.
This last country became his place of residence where he stayed in the ring well into the 1960s, wrestling El Santo, Black Shadow, El Médico Asesino and Lobo Negro.
As a wrestler he was introduced to Mexican film playing luchadores, in particular the masked Neutrón a character he created.
Neutron appeared in five films.
One of his most memorable roles was in La bestia magnífica ("The Magnificent Beast") in 1953.
He also appeared in well over 100 films during his career.
Wolf was so good that he won the Ariel Award from the Mexican Academy of Film for Best supporting actor in the film Juego limpio (1996).
And he also appeared on the American TV show, I Spy (with Robert Culp and Bill Cosby) in the episode "Shana" as Andreyev.

Luchador - Perro Aguayo
Ring name(s) Perro Aguayo
Billed height 178 cm (5 ft 10 in)
Billed weight 98 kg (215 lb)
Born January 18, 1946,Nochistlán, Zacatecas
Trained by Apolo Romano,Diablo Velasco
Debut 1968
Pedro Aguayo better known as Perro Aguayo, was a famous Mexican wrestler in the 1970s and 1980s. His son also wrestles as Perro Aguayo, Jr. or El Hijo Del Perro Aguayo. He is one of the biggest box office attractions in Lucha Libre history and was the last major rival of El Santo. Often prone to blading, he has been described by American pundits as a cross between Terry Funk and Bruno Sammartino (for his willingness to brawl and overpower opponents). He was the first person ever crowned the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, though pre-1997 title reigns are not included in WWE's official "canon" for that title.
He was synonymous with the Universal Wrestling Association as one of its top heels and one of the top heels lucha libre overall. In the 1990s, he helped found Asistencia Asesoría y Administración and his three way feud with Konnan and Cien Caras proved to be one of the most successful programs in terms of box office receipts. He stayed with AAA until 2000, even making an appearance on WWF's Royal Rumble in 1997 in a match that featured lucha libre legends like Canek, Mil Máscaras and up and comers who would later make names for themselves like Héctor Garza and Heavy Metal. He came to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre to feud with Los Capos. He was successful in taking the hair of Cien Caras and Máscara Año 2000 but he lost his slated retirement match against Universo 2000. He remained in retirement until his son began feuding with Los Capos as well. Cien Caras claimed he could not retire until his business with Aguayo was finished so a double hair vs. hair match was set with Perro Aguayo and Perro Aguayo taking on Cien Caras and Máscara Año 2000. The Aguayos were successful and Perro Aguayo returned to retirement and Cien Caras went into semi-retirement.
