Luchador Mephisto was born on December 10, 1968 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
He is the son of Luchador Astro Rey/Kahoz, and the nephew of El Gallo Giro and Rey Halcón.
Mephisto was trained by Astro Rey, Franco Colombo, El Gallo Giro, Rey Halcón, Negro Casas and Pacoman.
He made his pro wrestling debut in July 1988, in Zecatapec, Morelos.
Mephisto often tag teams with Averno, and they are considered one of the top tag teams in Mexico.
He wrestles for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in Mexico.
Durning his career, he has held the Mexican National Trios Championship with Satánico and Averno, the Mexican National Welterweight Championship, the CMLL World Tag Team Championship three times with Averno and the CMLL World Welterweight Championship.
