Sean Waltman / X-Pac

X-Pac-lucha libre

It seems like I have done write ups on Sean Waltman on every wrestling blog I have.
TNA, WWF / WWE, WSX, but he gets an entry here too.

Sean Waltman was born on July 13, 1972 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I think he has wrestled for almost every major wrestling promotion in the world since his pro wrestling debut back on March 16, 1992.

In Lucha Libre he is known as 6-Pac or X-Pac (out of the myriad of names he has wrestled under) and wrestles for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA).
As far as I can tell, he first showed up there back in 2007, as a member of Konnan's Foreign Legion.
His manager was his girlfriend Alicia Webb (Ryan Shamrock).

X-Pac left Asistencia Asesoría y Administración for a time to re-enter rehab back in mid 2008, but returned towrads the end of 2008, turning on the Foreign Legion and creating D-Generation Mex.
D-Generation Mex was comprised of X-Pac, Rocky "Azúcar" Romero and Alex Koslov.
Both Romero and Koslov came from rival wrestling promotion CMLL to join the stable.

Luchador: Rocky Romero

Luchador: Rocky Romero

John R. Rivera was born on October 28, 1982 in Havana, Cuba.
He is better known by his wrestling name Rocky Romero and as the fourth Black Tiger.
In 2003, Rocky began working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
Rocky became the first ever CMLL World Super Lightweight Champion after beating Volador Jr. in a tournament final on September 12, 2003. He has gone on to hold the belt 3 times and is the current champion.
Which is a little awkward because on October 5, 2008, Rocky jumped from CMLL to rival promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) while still holding the CMLL belt and became a member of Sean Waltman's D-Generation MEX stable.
So what happens to the belt?

The WWE versus CMLL and AAA

The closest I wanna see WWE and Lucha Libre, Shelly Martinez and Vampiro

Well, the WWE has moved into Mexico and are ready to go up against Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.
Last month WWE Smackdown's debuted on Azteca TV and was the most-watched TV program in prime time from Oct. 3 to 19.
The show drew a 9.0 rating and over 1.2 million TV households tuned in.
WWE Raw debuted on Sunday, Oct. 5 on Televisa to similar results.
I really hope this is a " Interest Factor", people watching WWE just to see what its all about, because I don't see how this would be good for Lucha Libre.
Of course Lucha's storylines are just as exaggerated as the WWE's, but Lucha in Mexico is tradition.
I'd hate to see CMLL and AAA go they way of ECW here in the US. Seeing WWE buy out the two big companies would just give you a watered down version of each.
I shudder to think of " WWE CMLL" or " WWE Friday Night AAA".
I know many of the WWE stars are wildly popular in Mexico and as long as WWE stays a separate entity things may be okay.
But I'd hate to see the memories of El Santo, Mil Máscaras or Blue Demon lumped in with the Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo affair, the Fake Kane or the Red Rooster someday.
